Well, the rain finally stopped and out came that lovely sun…..

Tuesday we left early and took the scenic route to Clervaux! I had not been there in more then 40 years. So that was quite some time ago…. The ride there was sometimes even scary, well for me. Pieter loved that 20% descending road… *screaming* 😉. I visited the Abbey, and yes, did lite some candles…. Pieter and Spot enjoyed the sunshine outside. We saw the town, had a nice lunch and visited the castle….. ❤️❤️❤️ Clervaux…..

Today, wednesday we took a longer trip! This morning first to Trier… one of the most beautiful old towns… with the Porta Nigra, those old houses and wonderful atmosphere! UNESCO world heritage for a reason! We had lunch there, with view on the Porta Nigra, an ancient Roman Gate…

After lunch we took the road along the Moselle…. To Bernkastel Kues… we were there on our honeymoon and then it rained the whole time…. Wanted to see it in the sunlight…. It is almost as impressive as Sarlat… and we saw hotel Rosi, we’re we spend our honeymoon… and the beautiful Altstadt.. we found a nice terrace with yummie icecream… so a day we’ll spend!
